Meetings

Semestral Events Organized by Us

To promote logic and philosophy of science among advanced undergraduate and graduate students in Switzerland, the SGSLPS organises two meetings each year, one taking place in spring, the other one in fall.

As a general rule, the semestral meetings of the SGSLPS are divided into two parts:

The purpose of the tutorial session is to introduce a broad audience to a specific subject matter. Tutorials are frequently given by leading researchers in the respective fields. After everyone has been brought up to speed in the tutorial session, students and researchers alike can deepen their understanding of a given topic by listening to more advanced talks in the specialized session. The specialized session typically continues where the tutorials had left off.
